Greg Pay Jet Boat
Greg Pay was a foundation member of the Broulee Surfers SLSC in 1979.
He was involved in Jetboat services for the Club and FSC Branch in the early 1980’s. He was influential in setting up and operating the Club’s IRB and Jetboat services.
Greg served the club in the following capacities:
- President 1986/87
- Vice President 1982 to 1985
- Rescue Officer 1982 to 1985
- Chief Instructor 1984 to 1986
- Branch Delegate 1984 to 1986
This extract is from the 1986/87 annual report. The then President Terry Freeman said “I was elected President for the latter part of the 86/87 season, following Greg Pay and family leaving the district. Since the Broulee Club beginning 8 seasons ago, Greg and Judy have played a large part in the establishment and development of the Club. A great deal of time and energy has been expended over these years, both having held many and various Committee positions. It would be true to say that the Club would not be this far down the track without their involvement. To Greg, Judy and family a special thanks and I am sure all the Club wishes them well as they settle into a new area.”
The Club named the current Jetboat after Greg Pay’s contribution to our Club.
In 1983, Greg and Judy Pay organised the Broulee Night of Stars fundraiser which raised $1700 for the club.
Greg was elected a Life Member of Broulee Surfers SLSC in 1996.
Judy Pay was the Club Treasurer from 1982 to 1984 and a Branch Delegate in 1983/84.
