Andrew Edmunds

Andrew Edmunds was elected Life Member at the 2024 Annual General Meeting.

Andrew joined the Club in 1995 as a Nipper — part of a family who have made a massive contribution to the Club. He gained his Bronze Medallion in the 2000/01 season and has been at the forefront of emergency services operations with Surf Life Saving NSW at State, Branch and Club level for 23 years.

Awards and recognition

• Club Junior Life Saver of the Year 2005 and 2006
• Far South Coast Branch Volunteer of the Year 2008
• Broulee Club Person of the Year 2009
• Far South Coast Branch President’s Award 2011 and 2016
• Far South Coast Branch Life Member 2022
• King’s Emergency Service Medal 2024

Andrew holds two Rescue Citations for his involvement in major rescues. The King’s Emergency Service Medal, awarded in 2024, recognises distinguished service by members of emergency services.

Andrew has served on the Broulee Committee for 22 years. His positions include:

• Radio Officer 2002–2006
• Publicity Officer 2005–2019
• OHS Officer 2012 to present
• Club Captain 2019/20
• Secretary 2020 to present
• State Duty Officer

Andrew is also an active member of the Far South Coast Branch Council, serving for over 15 years before being awarded Far South Coast Branch Life Membership in 2022.

Andrew has demonstrated superior dedication and commitment to Surf Lifesaving NSW and its patrols and emergency services throughout his 23 years of excellent service.
