Broulee Surfers Surf Life Saving Club — Est. 1979
Explore our history

Our history

On 11 November 1979, a group of passionate locals gathered to form the Broulee Surfers Surf Life Saving Club. What began as a merger between the Broulee Surfriders Club and the Surf Club has grown into a proud community institution — 45 years of volunteer lifesavers protecting one of the Far South Coast’s most beloved beaches.

From building the clubhouse brick by brick, to competing in the George Bass Surfboat Marathon, to raising generations of Nippers — this is the story of our club and the remarkable people who built it.
