Andrew Edmunds

Andrew Edmunds has been at the forefront of emergency services operations with Surf Lifesaving NSW at the State, Branch and our Club level for 23 years.

Andrew joined the Club in 1995 as a nipper. Andrew is part of a family who have made a massive contribution to our Club.

He gained his Bronze in season 2000/2001.

He was awarded the Club Junior Life Saver of the Year in 2005 and 2006.

He was awarded the following:

  • FSC Branch Volunteer of the year in 2008
  • Broulee Person of the Year in 2009
  • FSC Branch Presidents award in 2011 and again in 2016
  • Broulee Junior Life saver of the year in 2005 and 2006

Andrew has been on the Broulee Committee for 22 years as at 2024. His positions include:

  • Radio officer 2002 to 2006
  • Publicity 2005 to 2019
  • OHS Officer 2012 to current
  • Club Captain 2019/2020
  • Secretary 2020 to current
  • State Duty Officer

Andrew is also an active member of the FSC Branch Council and was awarded as a FSC Branch Life member in 2022 over 15 years on Branch Council.

He has two Rescue Citations for his involvement in major rescues.

The King’s Emergency Service Medal, which recognises distinguished service by members of emergency services, was awarded to Andrew in 2024.

Andrew has demonstrated superior dedication and commitment to Surf Lifesaving NSW and its patrols and emergency services, during his 23 years of excellent service.
