Joining Broulee SLS

Broulee Surfers SLSC welcomes all community members to join our family friendly Club. Membership is managed via the Surf Life Saving Australia website.

Please note: Broulee Surfers SLSC requires that at least one parent or guardian join as an “Associate” member with all Nipper members.

Before you start: if you have an Active Kids Voucher and wish to use this towards your child’s registration, please contact the Club Registrar before applying or renewing your child’s membership.

Senior Carnival Entries: when renewing your membership you can add your Carnival Entry fee for the Far South Coast Branch carnivals for the season — just select the add-on in the portal when joining or renewing. Note: this is for senior carnivals only. Junior (Nippers) carnival entry fees are included with your child’s membership.

New memberships

If you have never been a member of a surf lifesaving club before, go to hub.sls.com.au and follow the instructions:

  1. Under I would like to join, select Surf Life Saving Club
  2. Under The club I want to join, select Broulee Surfers SLSC
  3. Under I want to join, choose An individual or My family
  4. Fill in your details and submit the form
  5. Pay your membership fees via the online payment gateway
New Nippers: Proof of age ID must be emailed to registrar@brouleesurfersslsc.org.au with your membership submission.
Active Kids Voucher: Have your voucher ready before you start — you will be prompted to enter the code at the payment gateway the first time only. Vouchers may only be used for the individual they were issued to, towards their $70 joining or renewal fee.
Renewals and transfers

Renew your membership and update your contact details via the SLSNSW Members Portal. If this is your first renewal you’ll need to create an SLSNSW account.

Individual memberships
  1. Log in to the SLSNSW Members Portal
  2. Click on Memberships
  3. Click on Renewals, Payments & Transfers
  4. Review your details
  5. Tick your agreement to the SLSA Membership Declaration to proceed
  6. Click the Submit button
  7. Pay your membership fees via the online payment gateway
Family and Nippers renewals
  1. Log in to the SLSNSW Members Portal
  2. Click on Memberships → Family
  3. On your family’s line, click Renew Memberships
  4. Select the current season then tick each member to be renewed
  5. Tick your agreement to the SLSA Membership Declaration for all selected members
  6. Click the Submit button
  7. Pay your membership fees via the online payment gateway
Using your Active Kids voucher: Contact the Registrar at registrar@brouleesurfersslsc.org.au before applying, and have your voucher code ready.
Working with children requirements

We take our responsibility for safeguarding children and young people very seriously. SLSNSW members who work directly with children under the age of 18 must complete a Working with Children Check (WWCC), unless their role falls within one of the scheme’s defined exemptions.

Surf Life Saving Australia has detailed information about working with children requirements.

Already have a WWCC? You can supply your number via email directly to the Club Secretary.

All members will be charged a $20 enrolment fee for their first Surf Life Saving course (SRC or Bronze) to cover training resources and administrative costs.
